Montour Little Spartans is a member of the Western Pennsylvania Youth Football League and abide by high standards of conduct . All players and parents are expected to adhere to the following rules and expectations.
PLAYERS:
- Give 100% at every practice.
- Give 100% at every game.
- Give 100% to your teammates.
- Report to practices and games on time.
- No eating on the sidelines during a game.
- Player are not to leave the sidelines unless given permission by a coach.
- No pouting or crying at any time (unless you are hurt).
- No swearing at any time on or off the field.
- No arguing with referees, opposing players, opposing coaches, MLS coaches, or teammates.
- No throwing of equipment at practice or at a game.
*We expect our older squads to set an example for the younger squads. *
PARENTS AND COACHES:
Remember as a spectator you represent the MLS organization as much as any team member.
- Support your team/ player enthusiastically but with consideration and respect for opponents, whether winning or losing.
- Be courteous and friendly to opposing team members and spectators.
- Be considerate of any injuries to our team or to our opponents.
- Be mature in your behavior, set good examples of sportsmanship and condemn unsportsmanlike and disruptive behavior on the part of others.
- Profane, vulgar, and/or abusive language is prohibited on the field and in the stands! Anyone using such language will be removed from the premises.
- Refrain from complaining about or scrutinizing the coaching staff in front of your player.
- If there is an issue you wish to discuss with the coaching staff you must wait at least 24 hours before contacting said coach via phone, text, email, ect.
- Under no circumstances should issues be discussed at the game or in front of players.
- Please DO NOT enter onto the field or track around the field at any time, unless requested by a coach or MLS staff.
- No arguing with referees, opposing coaches, and/or MLS coaches.
- You will be REQUIRED to fulfill certain duties throughout the season such as concession duties (donations, volunteer requirements ...), sticks during games.
Any Violation of the Code of Conduct, MLS and/or WPYFL By-laws, will be reviewed and action taken by the MLS Board of Directors.
