Yes. All players must complete 5 days of heat acclimation per the WPYFL
2 days with helmet only
2 days with helmet and shoulder pads only
Starting day 6 and moving forward – full equipment and full contact
Heat acclimation runs through the first week of practice. If you are on vacation or have to miss a day during the first week, still must complete the acclimation process.
Football practices (including heat acclimation) held at David E. William's Middle School and or the grass field and the elementary/high school complex..
Practice days/times are determined by field availability. We typicality practice from Monday - Thursday during camp (before school starts) and Tuesday-Thursday after school starts after 6pm.
Cheer practices 1-2 times per week. Dates, times and locations are determined by each cheer head coach.
Shoulder pads, helmets, game jerseys, practice jersey for game day are provided during scheduled equipment hand-out.
Black football pants (Integrated pads).
Game/practice football cleats (no metal)
Mouth guards (required for every practice and game)
Games are played on Saturdays or Sundays
Home games are played on Sundays at the Montour High School
No max weight limit for participation in the WPYFL
There are Weight limitations or all “skill” positions (QB, RB, WR, TE).
Weight limitations are as follows:
Division I (5th & 6th Grade) – 120lbs
Division II (3rd & 4th Grade) – 100lbs
Division III (K - 2nd Grade) – 75lbs
For Cheer and Football, the registration fee is not refundable after the last day of the second week of camp.
Cheer uniforms are non refundable after May 15th, which is the date that uniforms are ordered. Once ordered, they can not be refunded.
